I have been a little quiet here because life has been busy. Amidst the normal holiday chaos, I accepted a job offer with one of my favorite independent bookstores in the Twin Cities, Valley Bookseller.

I have been attending author and book events hosted by Valley Bookseller for the past few years and have loved getting to know all the fabulous women who keep the store running. Valley Bookseller prides itself in being women owned and operated, so I am excited to add to that legacy. They host regular author events, such as Totally Criminal Cocktail Hour, and partner with local literary aficionado Pamela Klinger-Horn and Lit Lovers' Night Out.
You can keep an eye on the Valley Bookseller events calendar and Instagram page for upcoming events. I will also be cross promoting on my bookstagram account and blog. We already have some really exciting events in the works, featuring authors such as and Andrew Graff, Diane Wilson, Heather Gudenkauf, Kao Kalia Yang and SALLY HEPWORTH!!
Keep an eye out for more info on all of these exciting events!
I am so honored to be taking this role on. It truly is a dream. When I first started this account, I do so as a way to get back into reading, but mostly to make time for myself and have a creative outlet. If I made a little money on the side, that would be a bonus. Never did I think it would turn into a part-time gig at a bookstore. Dream come true. I cannot wait to see where this opportunity takes me.
