I feel like everyone under the sun has already read this book and I am the last to arrive. The recently released Netflix series of this book adaptation had me rushing to read it before I watch. The common theme with Behind Her Eyes by Sarah Pinborough that I hear over and over is about who wild and crazy the ending is. Of course that intrigued me and I had to see what all the fuss was about!
Synopsis:
Louise is a single mom, working a part time job to keep a roof over their heads and food on the table. For the most part, her life is uneventful. That is, until she meets David, a mysterious man she meets at a bar who she cannot get out of her head. As fate would have it, David starts working at the same therapy office Louise works for and she soon becomes heavily involved in both David's life, as well as his wife, Adele. This twisty love triangle soon spirals out of control and elements of supernatural intertwine for a wild ending I guarantee you will not predict.
Mel's Thoughts:
Behind Her Eyes is a total popcorn thriller that is addicting, compulsive, and consuming. Once you dive into Louise story, so many unanswered questions pop up around David, Adele, and their strange marriage. It is hard to give this book a full review without giving away any of the twists. No spoilers from me, because that is the fun with this book!
If you are in the mood for an addicting thriller, look no further. This one will keep you entertained and on the edge of your seat. A solid 4.5 star psychological thriller. I thought I predicted the ending...nope, I did not see it coming. I guarantee you won't either!
