I recently discovered a new to me sub-genre of thrillers that I have been thoroughly enjoying. High octane thrillers are action packed, pulse pounding thrillers that, in my opinion, read like a movie script and would be amazing book to film adaptations. I have curated a list of books that fit within the high octane thriller sub-genre. Along with a synopsis of each, I have included who I imagined playing the lead protagonist, as well as a link to my review. (I LOVE when a book is adapted to film and the cast is announced. I tend it pick it apart if they don't line up with who I imagined in my head. And if the casting director does get it "right," I am canceling my plans for that premiere date and putting my booty into a movie theater seat.)
Buckle up, because you will be in for a wild ride with each of these and they are sure to get your blood pressure going!
