The last few months have been an absolute blur. I still can't believe I have a three month old babe to show for it. We had family pictures done when he was three weeks old. They were chaotic, sweaty, long & frustrating, but somehow they turned out amazing (compliments of Sara Haley Photography | Twin Cities, Minnesota and beyond.) Here are a few of my favorites:
Reading has taken on different forms for me in this season of life. Audiobooks have been my friend, as well as my Kindle (it makes reading while nursing a breeze!) I have to say, I'm pretty proud that I've been able to keep reading a part of my daily routine. It makes me prioritize myself, even if it is only enough time to squeeze in a few pages.
What I have read has also changed. Gone are the lengthy literary fiction novels, as my attention span is that of a fly. I have been devouring thrillers like there is no tomorrow because I can read them sleep deprived and still keep up.
Books I loved
Books I liked
Books that were 'meh'
A book I didn't like & one I DNF
My favorite books were definitely The Seed Keeper by Diane Wilson and The Guncle by Steven Rowley. I adored them both. My least favorite was Falling by T.J. Newman. I found it incredibly problematic and cliché. I also only made it about 25% into The Final Girl Support Group by Grady Hendrix before I called it a day. I found it too tropey and the concept did not translate well to text.
I have also been dabbling with making a My Night's Booked merch line!! I am awaiting samples in the mail this week and once I have designs and quality down, I will be opening my Etsy shop.
More to come, but below is a little teaser!
